Learn About the Law Offices of Todd S. Dion

Attorney Dion’s unique background and experience has molded him into an understanding but formidable advocate for the underdog. Whether it be saving a client from foreclosure or eviction, Attorney Dion thrives on making the lives of his clients better no matter what legal obstacles they face.

In 1997, Attorney Dion obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Boston University and immediately began working in the financial sector of Downtown Boston. Although rising quickly within the opportunities of corporate America, in the year 2000 Attorney Dion decided to attend Suffolk University Law School as a night student so that he could pursue his dream of helping people in the courtroom.

Upon passing both the Rhode Island and Massachusetts bars in 2003, Attorney Dion began his career in litigation as an apprentice under some of the most prominent litigation attorneys in New England. Over the next several years Attorney Dion became a familiar face in courts throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts while often obtaining not guilty verdicts at trials and obtaining successful and positive results for his clients through motions, hearings, pleas bargains and settlements on a daily basis.

In 2005, Attorney Dion opened a title and closing company to address the many needs of his clients who wanted to become homeowners or refinance their equity during the Housing Bubble. It was only a matter of time before Attorney Dion recognized the many problems associated with the mortgages being sold at that time and refocused his practice to fighting the wrongdoing perpetrated by financial institutions that led to the recession of 2007-2009.

From 2011 to 2015, Attorney Dion’s work in foreclosure defense law helped prompt the creation of the Mortgage Foreclosure Docket in the United States District Court for Rhode Island. Through the Mortgage Foreclosure Docket Attorney Dion was able to obtain injunctions and reversals of foreclosures for hundreds of his clients while obtaining loan modifications and principal balance reductions on his clients’ mortgages that resulted in tens of millions in savings.

Since 2011, Attorney Dion has continued his litigation practice focusing on the broken promises, shoddy paperwork, notice violations and misrepresentations that continued to be purported by foreclosing entities throughout the United States as well as providing a streamlined and efficient process to apply for a loan modification or principal balance reduction for his clients.
